Mal Pais is a tranquil neighborhood at the very south west point of the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. Between the Nature Reserve Cabo Blanco in the south and the buzzing surfer village of Santa Teresa in the north, Mal Pais is a perfect blend of unspoiled nature and beach culture.
Activities in Mal Pais :
Surfing is the main pursuit as Mal Pais and Santa Teresa boast some of Costa Rica's best surf spots, if not world wide. Have a private surf lesson,
a privat kite surfing lesson or even a stand up paddle tour (SUP).
Besides surfing you can go sport fishing inshore or off shore, experience kayak
fishing tours, or just go kayaking. Plan a day trip to Isla Tortuga, do some swimming, snorkeling or beach combing. Also available are horseback
riding tours through the jungle or at the beach, canopy tours through the jungle, sailing tours, ATV tours to different beaches and towns close by.
Rent your own ATV and explore on your own. Book a pilates or yoga class. Close to Mal Pais are attractions like the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve,
and the village of Montezuma with its scenic waterfalls and its Butterfly Gardens. Also a good choice is the Wildlife Rescue Center in Cabuya
where you can watch all kinds of wild life being taken care of before being released back to nature. Or maybe you just let the day slip away in
our hotel enjoying the views of the Mal Pais coastline, have a private spanish class at your villa or just relax.
